Shanti Yoga Glasgow's group classes in the West End of Glasgow recommends the below etiquette for all classes-
Bring your own yoga mat if you have one, if not, they will be provided however if you have already attended a class and plan to take Yoga seriously, it is strongly advised that your own yoga mat is purchased for hygiene reasons. Mats and Lavender bags can be purchased at a discounted rate.
Remember to wear something comfortable and maybe bring a small jumper or cardigan and socks for relaxation in case you get cold. Water is also advised to be brought along to drink before and after class.
Please notify me of any past injuries or medical history that you feel might affect your practice, particularly if you are pregnant.
Practice barefoot, to ensure a firm grounding of the foundations of your body on your mat unless in relaxation.
Ensure mobile phones or switched off.
Don't eat anything substantial for at least 2 hours before practice, only eat something small prior, if you have to.
Please try and arrive 5 mins early to allow time to get settled before class starts especially if it is your first class as i chat to all new students about what to expect from the class.
